What a Sunday

Isn't this awesome? I love rainbows. Too bad I've never found that pot of gold, we could all use one of those, couldn't we? Now if it just wasn't so darn muddy........

No milk to make cheese this morning, the cow folks "forgot" to save me some so I'm going to make sure they remember tonight. I'll be up late doing it but I gotta have some cheese. So, today I'm baking a cherry and a pumpkin pie. the pumpkin ended up going on a cheesecake pan since 2 of my pie pans have mysteriously disappeared. That happens around here every now and then, don't know where stuff gets away to.

  2. Kat,

Good day....I can't wait to get to our new place so I FINALLY have an oven to use. Ours died on Thanksgiving morning 2005 and I've been without one since. We do have a very large toaster oven - but just not big enough to do any real cooking or baking in.

So...I'm trying to decide what my first "baked" goods will be...your pies look inviting as I've got a lot of pumpkin around here!

    Still prayin' for everyone.

  3. MaMaBear, you're in my prayers every night! Oh, do I know all about the toaster oven, I did a stint with one myself! hated it. Be sure to let me know when you get settled in.

  4. Its funny as just about everyone we know has been thru a toaster oven hell! We just gave ours to our youngest daughter. I wanted to use it for target practice but just couldn't do it in the end. As for your pie pans? They may be "somewhere" off with all my teaspoons! It amazes me how may things just up and walk away! LOL! Keeping you all in my prayers for the jobs!

  5. ROFL Katidids! You're teaspoons disappear too? How funny since mine run away a couple times a year here. One by one, they escape into neverland........

  6. MMpaints,
That cherry pie looks scrumptious! Did I tell you that is my favorite kind of pie*wink*
Mike and I were online looking at smokehouse and outdoor grill and ovens. We've got an patio area off the backdoor and we want to build a firepit/ smoker/ oven out there. That is one project( of many on the wish list) we'd like to accomplish this year. We've pretty well got our plan, now just need to be on the lookout for materials, of course we'll let all of our friends neighbor's know what we're looking for and pray many of the materials materialize for free!
Take care, we'll be making sausages for a few days, YUMMMY! Best part is sampling to make sure the seasoning is just right*wink*
